$36 million worth of products stolen from Samsung's Brazilian factory

It probably won't make a dent in the massive profits Samsung rakes in every quarter, but a rather major robbery has left one of the company's factories poorer by around $36 million. About 20 men armed with submachine guns invaded Samsung's factory in São Paulo, Brazil, and managed to get away with seven loaded trucks full of smartphones, tablets, and laptops. According to the police, the criminals were disguised as staff and entered the factory after midnight, holding employees hostage after taking away their phone batteries to prevent them from calling the cops.

Apparently, the criminals' possession of information about where valuable items were located is hinting that it was an inside job. No one was hurt in the whole incident, but Samsung officials have said that it was a serious crime that they are assisting the police in solving. All the stolen merchandise may or may not make its way back to the company, but this will hopefully mean Samsung will be reinforcing security at all its factories worldwide to prevent any future cases like this.
