The company hasn't actually said the A55 won't have the Galaxy S24's AI features, but the fact that there is no mention of AI in its Galaxy A55 teasers is a dead giveaway. Samsung never misses a chance to promote the Galaxy AI experience found on its latest flagship phone, and the company would be doing that for the Galaxy A55 if the upcoming phone had those fancy AI features.
The Galaxy A55 will also be limited to four generations of OS upgrades, which Samsung did confirm. The same will be true for the Galaxy A35, which will be launched alongside the A55 on March 11. They could still come running One UI 6.1 out of the box, though, even if they will lack most of the interesting stuff you get on the latest version of One UI.
And it may be for the best, as the Exynos 1480 chip inside the Galaxy A55 probably won't be able to handle the AI features despite the increase in power it brings over the Galaxy A54's Exynos 1380. Samsung might bring those features through a software update after the phone goes on sale, but we would suggest keeping your expectations in check.
