The ViewFinity S9 is priced at $1,599.99 in the US and is readily available through Amazon. Amazon is displaying a one-day delivery option for some locations, but it could vary for other sites. Compared to the Apple Studio Display, the ViewFinity S9 has a similar price, but the Samsung monitor comes with a bundled height and tilt adjustable stand, a matte finish (for which Apple charges an additional $300), and a smart TV operating system.
Samsung’s new monitor in the ViewFinity lineup has a 27-inch QLED VA panel with 5K resolution (5,120 x 2,880 pixels), a 60Hz refresh rate, a 1,000:1 aspect ratio, and a Delta E ≦ 2.1. It can reach up to 600 nits of peak brightness and DisplayHDR 600 certification for HDR content playback. It has HDR10+ certification, too, and comes with built-in Tizen OS. It has all the audio and video streaming apps built in and comes with a remote controller.
The monitor has one Thunderbolt 4 port (with 90W USB PD charging for connected devices), three USB 3.2 Type-C ports, one Mini DisplayPort, a SlimFit 4K webcam, and stereo speakers with Adaptive Sound+. It has a VESA 100 x 100 mount so that you can attach any third-party stand or wall mount option. It also has Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and AirPlay 2.
